SINARSCOUR SSB -Detergent and Wetting Agent for Pretreatments.

SINARSCOUR SSB (Detergent and Wetting Agent) are used as bleach processor enables extremely transparent processes. Pretreatment recipes consisting of three components only are possible: caustic soda, hydrogen peroxide and SINARSCOUR SSB Dertergent and Weting Agent as bleach processor On cellulosic fibers and their blends with synthetic fibers including elastane:

  • Pad-batch cold peroxide bleach (pad-batch CPB), silicate-free and silicate containing
  • Pad-batch cold oxidative cracking (pad-batch COC)
  • Pad-steam peroxide bleach, silicate-free and silicate containing
  • Discontinuous bleaching with hydrogen peroxide On 100% viscose fabrics:
  • Visco-combi-batch (VCB)
CharacteristicsBenefits
Outright ALL-IN-ONE combination product: processor + surfactant + dispersing/complexing components. No separate additions required, even no Mg- salts. Can be used in soft or hard water. Extremely transparent and simple recipes. Hence reduced sources of errors and less products for store-keeping.
  • Outstanding wetting, rewetting, complexing/dispersing and emulsifying action in neutral to highly alkaline liquors
Enables fast and uniform wetting with a high liquor pick-up. Even and highly hydrophilic fabrics for subsequent dyeing and printing processes. Removal of all kinds of impurities (e.g. oils, greases, lubricants, size and soil particles).
Extremely low-foaming, contains no antifoam.Stable application liquor without risk of separation, also in reinforced feeding bath. Trouble-free running and low foam behavior on continuous and semi-continuous and discontinuous machines throughout processing.
Liquid, pumpable formulation.  Convenient handling. Suitable for automatic dispensing of the undiluted product.

APPLICATIONS of SINARSCOUR SSB on Pretreatment process as Detergent and Wetting agent:

Dissolving/diluting:

SINARSCOUR SSB bleach processor can be added undiluted to the application baths and feed liquors. It can also be mixed with water in all proportions. The bleaching bath is to be set in the following sequence: water, SINARSCOUR SSB, NaOH and finally peroxide.

Suggested recipes:

Silicate-free pad-batch cold peroxide bleach (pad-batch CPB) cotton, linen, ramie and their blends with synthetic fibers

9–15ml/kgSINARSCOUR SSB
25–35g/kgNaOH 100%
40–60ml/kgH2O2 35%
0– 5g/kgpersulfate (preferably sodium persulfate)

Bath temperature 20–35°C

Liquor pick-up 90–100%

Batching time 16–24 h

Aftertreatment, if no pad-steam or under liquor treatment follows:

The following treatment has proved effective for high, uniform absorbency and complete removal of sizes:

Continuous boiling-off in washing machines or immersion cloth accumulators. The first few baths should be sharpened with alkali and surfactant. The quantities are obtained from the residues on the goods. The throughput of water in these first baths must be reduced to 1–3 l/kg goods.

Sharpen the first few baths of the washing machine or immersion cloth accumulator with:

6–10g/l
NaOH 100%
3–6ml/lSINARSCOUR SSB

Reaction time open-width washing machine: 30–60 s

immersion cloth accumulator: about 5 min

Temperature 90–95°C Hot wash-off

With this procedure, there is no need for additional continuous chemical feed.

Silicate containing pad-batch cold peroxide bleach (pad-batch CPB) cotton, linen, ramie and their blends with synthetic fibers:
8–12ml/kgSINARSCOUR SSB
8–15g/kgNaOH 100%
6–12ml/kgsodium silicate 38°Bé (72°Tw)
40–60ml/kghydrogen peroxide 35%
0– 5g/kgpersulfate (preferably sodium persulfate)

Bath temperature 20–35°C

Liquor pick-up 90–100%

Batching time 16–24 h Hot rinsing

A subsequent pad-steam or under liquor treatment is recommended for woven goods.

Pad-batch cold oxidative cracking (pad-batch COC):
9–12ml/kgSINARSCOUR SSB
30–40g/kgNaOH 100%
20–40ml/kgH2O2 35%
3– 6g/kgpersulfate (preferably sodium persulfate)

Bath temperature 20–35°C

Liquor pick-up 90–100%

Batching time 6–24 h

Hot washing, it is possible to obtain best degrees of whiteness with a subsequent pad-steam peroxide bleach.

Pad-steam peroxide bleaching on cellulosic fibers and their blends with synthetics:

Following pad-steam recipes valid for cotton goods.

For PES/CO blends the recipes should be reduced by about 30%. A polyamide protective agent is recommended for PA/CO blends.
